I love this book. I will go back to it over and over again. I have also taken notes for quick reference. This book is brilliantly written and felt like a mentor was having a conversation with me. As I read it, questions would come to mind and before I knew it I was reading answers to my questions. Is the author reading my mind? Of course not, but it sure felt that way. I am a very blunt and direct person and that is how this book is written. It does a fantastic job of giving you a clear picture of what copywriting is and how it differs from other types of writing.I could go on all day about this book. If you need to understand copywriting and what is expected from copywriters, this book is a must-have!

This is phenomenally helpful! As an intern trying to figure out the copywriting world, this book has been on par with a human writing mentor. I get so much concrete advice that has everyday impact on my work.

I must say that I am pleased with this copywriter's handbook. I wasn't sure what to expect from the content as it was purchased based on the reviews I read. I took a chance and i feel it was a good investment for my marketing library. It gives recommendations and structure to make sale letters (copy). It could use an update but is still super relevant for writing sales copy. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about learning how to be a marketer and on selling with words.

I found myself nodding and sometimes pumping my fist in the air as I read this.Clear. Concise. Relevant.I wish someone had handed me this book 11 years ago and then I wouldn't have had to learn everything in it the hard way.

I bought this book as my first copywriting book. I thought it was pretty good, especially the first few chapters, and then the chapter on writing to sell and writing for web content. I did feel that some aspects of the book felt slightly outdated, but it doesn't really take away from the overall message.

He makes it easy to understand and it's an enjoyable read. (He's not trying to impress the reader, he's trying to teach the reader!) For me, it's invaluable data, I know it will help me a lot.

I started my online journey in 2009 and basically was having a lot of fun creating YouTube videos, blogging and podcasting. In 2013 started getting serious about my business and invested in a coach. I began hearing terms like headlines, sales pages, swipe files and more. I began researching these terms and found out about copywriting. I immediately saw the need to gain a basic understanding of copywriting so that my business could excel. Studying copywriting became important for me. I think that this handbook is absolutely amazing and full of examples for direct mail, brochures, catalogs, sales material and even commercials. This book was given to me a Christmas gift, and i love it! It was one of my favorites. I saw this book once and forgot the title,(which was truly disappointing) but i was lucky enough to see it again, and this time own it!My dream is to become a cartoonist, and this book was perfect for me. I love the style, and how great quality the book is. It shows step by step of many different animals preforming different poses, complete with fun cartoon facts and helpful tips. Popular cartoon animal subjects have a couple of pages just to themselves, but at the end there is a combination of many different, less popular animals, and it explains quite a lot as well as the longer guides to more popular animals.The cartoons like very professional, and the text is neatly written out. Needless to say the entire book is very neat and organized.One of my favorite features is the beginning: A couple of pages just to themselves about cartoon secrets and great ideas and tips to help you improve your cartooning! this is a perfect guide to making good cartoons, and it explains well. Note that all of this is expressed in a understandable, simple way.Overall i love this book. It would make a great gift and is perfect for "young contortionists". I would highly suggest this. It's just perfect.

I like this book very much.I didn't think it would help as much as it did.Within an hour I had drawn several very quality cartoon animals. My wife and I were both impressed.It still takes me a long time to make the drawing, but I feel the speed with improve with practice.My drawings were all progressivly better as well, as I became more familiar with reoccuring concepts, like: sketch lightly, use basic shapes and adjust them, etc.While I drew several different animals some of the component parts were the same and it helped.I wish I had received this when I was a kid, I could work for Disney right now!

Easy to follow instruction on how to create expressions, show movement and attitude. Both semi-realistic and hilariously funny cartoons explained. End result is very cute, animated cartoon animals.

I'm an experienced cartoonist and wanted to venture into animal animation. This book is good for the over all view of the animals body shape...but's that's all it's good for. So, pretty much the basics. Still, it's always good to have when you forget the shape of the animal...after all there are thousands of animals that are shaped differently!

I have several of his books and each one seems to be better than the one before. What a wonderful artist, full of imagination, who also has a unique way of teaching you how to create something similar. I would recommend it to anyone - young or old. You feel as if he is sitting beside you gently guiding your pencil.

I loved this book to help my children review what is needed not only for STAAR testing, but in general to go from third to fourth grade. All information is detailed, simple but extensively explained and helps parents review before helping their children at home with homework and review.

This practice guide contained several errors. My daughter was getting very frustrated with a problem in the practice exam so I offered to assist. #18 - the table didn't contain the data necessary to answer the question and the answer key clearly referenced data that wasn't provided. Very frustrating errors.

I honestly have no feedback to give other than continue using the people you used to put this guide together. It's helpful and easy to understand.

This is not the book i am expecting

This was a good story. It shows that love can heal broken hearts if you are willing to let it in. There was definitely drama and intrigue in this book. I'm giving four stars because of errors throughout the book. But yes I would recommend that others read it.

At the beginning of this week I had no idea who Russ Stoddard was. A friend suggested we connect because of our mutual interest in and commitment to the higher purpose of business, life, and leadership.I bought the book, was hooked from page one, and finished it the day I started. Not something I do that often. But when I do, it's because the content is rich and the connection is real. Now I know what makes Russ tick and feel like we've become friends.If you're wondering how to fulfill purpose through business, this is a great book for you.

I randomly came across this book while reading about Russ in the Idaho Business Daily Review. I read the summary and dove right in. I really enjoyed how thorough Russ was in detailing his efforts and experience in creating and operating businesses with a focus on social consciousness. I also really appreciate the "key points" section that highlight the end of each chapter.. I wish more authors did this. Well written and a quick read, it's worth the time to digest the knowledge Russ shares throughout.

A sparely-written, inspiring book about companies that make good money while doing well for others. Not a "how to" as a "why too," along with encouragement that one reinforces the other. There are similar books in the market such as The Purpose Driven Economy, but this one will be most helpful to the growing cadre of companies and CEO's ready to make more of their lives and their business.

As someone who devotes her time and energy to helping companies be more thoughtful in their goal setting and operations, I was not sure whether I would find any new information in Rise Up. Wow was I wrong! Not only did I learn about innovative, creative and far reaching company efforts in the social entrepreneurship space, I also gained valuable tips for making my advisory firm more relevant to those that are seeking to do good work AND profit. This is a MUST read for anyone looking to make their business better for the planet, better for their customers and profit at the same time!

Russ Stoddard is an expert in the space - and has been doing it almost as long as anybody. I have just started this book, after putting away my other two books by Stormie Omartian, "Power of a Praying Wife," and "Praying Through the Deeper Issues of Marriage" (now titled "The Power of Prayer to Change Your Marriage.") My circumstances are quite stuck right now in my personal life, and I felt I needed a fresh breath of hope. At this point I am just surfing through the chapters, but did concentrate on Chapter 16, "Traveling Through the Dark Moments of Relationships." There are some good suggestions here but I almost felt her treatment was a little glib when she talks about relationships that are not currently working. While it's great to "let go and let God," sometimes it's really hard. And it can take a long time to realize and accept that perhaps a person will never be restored to your life. It is a process. I would have liked a bit more acknowledgement of the pain that can cause. This book is set up similarly to the other Stormie books I've read: good summaries of the spiritual concept, with specific prayers and helpful scriptures.

Excellent. Love this book. So uplifting especially when you're going through a trial. Also makes a great gift for someone else who is facing trials and you want to do something specia for them. This was my first book and I have bought several since then. Thank you Stormie.

Well, Stormie Omartian is my favorite author so of course I am going to say that you can't go wrong w/ her books because I haven't read one yet that didn't speak to my heart and help me to examine and grow my relationship w/ both God and others. This book, especially, gives the reader inspiration to keep pushing forward while learning to depend on God for every step you take because He, ultimately, is our Heavenly Father that has our best interests at heart. God is waiting at the door of our heart for us to open up and let Him in. He has abundance waiting for us and only wants us to trust in Him and his plans for our life. It is an awesome and uplifing and empowering book and I enjoyed it so thoroughly that I have bought it as a gift twice now for others. I hope this book helps you that maybe contemplating reading/purchasing it- as much as it has me. God Bless!

This is a work book, not the actual book, so I was disappointed I had to make another purchase to get what I thought I actually ordered to begin with, in retrospect I wish they would have made that clear.

know this isn't a very helpful review but if I spent the time writing everything that is wrong with this book it would be so long nobody would read it. Go find it at a library if you're curious but don't waste your money.

Stormie Omartian did it again! This easy-read provided the support I needed in the area of doubt and my need to control everything! I'm reading it for the second time and have purchased copies as gifts.

What a remarkable experience!Ms. Ormartian started so simply that I thought at first I reading a bit of a "fluff" book. I was reading along and I noticed that the challenge to trust God each and every moment of my life was increasing.Then she got to the part about how I must relinquish my dreams to the Lord in order Him to show me His plans. She was not talking about the unrealistic dreams that children have, but the real dreams - the ones that are so "normal" that everyone takes them for granted - until they don't happen or they fall apart. She points out that God may even have the same dreams for me that I have for myself, but in order to truly live them out, I must first be able to give them up with no expectation of achieving them and trust that whatever God brings into my life will be what is best. Ms. Ormartian's candor and honesty made her a fellow struggler rather than a lofty instructor - similar to what Jesus did when he actually lived this life rather than just viewing it from heaven. God brought this book into my life at a time when I most needed it, but there is no time when it will not bless the reader's life. Highest recommendation!!

I can barely get a page read,with out feeling it is speaking to me.This book is packed with reality experience . And how to respond in a spiritual way .it has been a blessing begin word.I was hit with family disappointing time. It would have been overwhelming ,but I felt hope because of what I had read. Its a book on walking with the word and prayer and walking closer with the lord.my world seemed so dark 'with just enough light for my day.
