Marsha shares her very personal and painful story about her drug addicted sons. In this book, she walks us through her struggles and eventual self-triumph to heal herself. It is a very relevant story to me as a mom raising children entering the teen years. As a nurse, I will be recommending this book to the many families encountering the same issues. There are few people untouched by this epidemic of drug addiction in our society. Thank you, Marsha, for your gift of giving guilt-ridden parents the permission to move past shame and get back on their own life path again.
I really enjoyed reading this book. If you have ever been stuck in your life and wondered how to deal with difficult situations...this book is for you. Marsha shares her very personal story of how she came out of a low place, dealing with teen substance abuse, and was able to find herself and her voice again. She is now using that voice to help others. This book is worth the read!!!!
Marsha’s story of vulnerability and self-actualization is incredibly personal, and also universal. There is a life altering in this book for everyone who is facing, has faced, or will ever face adversity.
Marsha’s book is such an honest, open, vulnerable share of a difficult topic.Although I have ( up until now) not had to deal with teen substance abuse, I could totally relate to so much of Marsha’s journey, pains and growth in my own life.I wasn’t sure what to expect initially, knowing that the book was on Marsha’s journey in dealing with teen substance abuse... most of these types of books go into the “dirty details†of such things... Marsha’s story however was so much different, open, honest and so vulnerable and at the same time respectful of all of those involved.This book isn’t just for those dealing with substance abuse .... but anyone needing to find their way though difficult times, whatever they may be.BRAVO Marsha VanW !!
